Well, that is what I call a dramatic blog title! Honestly, this year is all about being over-dramatic over everything so be ready for some serious exclamation marks!!!
Onto today’s post….If I have to think back to last year and what I loved in skincare, only one product comes to mind. I feel I didn’t experiment as much when it came to my skin, and for me that works. I’ve found some really good gems that work for my skin, so I haven’t felt the need to try new things. But then I went to buy tights in John Lewis back in October and ended up buying this:
This is the elixir of gods, I kid you not. It just feels like pure luxury and money. (You got to love my descriptions!) The texture is like a thick gel-like oil which melts into the warmest of oils when applied neat to the face. I let you read the official product description while I nip to the sink and use this baby to remove all the waterproof mascara on my face, because honestly I cannot describe how amazing this is properly.
‘A cleansing balm from MERUMAYA that spreads effortlessly over your skin, melting on contact so that your fingers glide easily, picking up make up and the day’s grime. When you add water to the massage, it turns to a light milk, making it easy to remove with Daily Cleansing Cloths ™ or a splash of water.
Features Sweet Almond Oil and Echium Seed Oil (RevitElix ™), Mangosteen extract and the MERUMAYA Signature Essence Blend, integratively balanced to make Melting Cleansing Balm ™ an experience you cannot do without.’
For me, there is simply nothing better out there at this price point. A little amount goes a long way, and it does a great job at removing make up while leaving your skin soft and subtle. You can add water to the mix, but I like to apply it to a dry face and use a hot cloth to wipe it off. It is perfect for AM or PM cleanse. I would say it is a thick oil, so I am not sure how someone with really oily skin is going to feel about using something like this. I have combo/oil skin and it cleans without leaving me oily, so that’s just me. Let me know if you have tried it, and if so, what do you think of it.
You can buy Merumaya at John Lewis here for £15.50 for 100ml.
